Alkalizing Breakfast Smoothie
That old wife’s tale that your grandma keeps whispering in your ear to this day “remember to eat your greens” still holds true… Your leafy green veggies hold some of the highest nutrient values of all foods with a long list of benefits – most importantly, alkalizing our body’s to a acidic, low pH balance.
Meeting the body’s daily needs for a long list of green’s may be difficult in today’s world, so throwing it all together into this delicious, nutrient dense smoothie that holds even more goodies then just that of a spinach smoothie and gulping it down before a day in the office can change your body’s health for good.
Ingredients:
2 handful’s of spinach
1 handful of almonds (unsalted)
2 tbsp flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 avocado
1 tsp raw honey
1 serving of vanilla protein powder
1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
1 handful of ice
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth (add more almond milk to adjust thickness).
